As passengers disembarked from the hantavirus-hit cruise ship MV Hondius in Tenerife, Spain, World Health Organization (WHO) officials warn more cases emerging from the outbreak are possible because of the virus’s incubation period.
Dr. Diana Rojas Alvarez, an infectious diseases epidemiologist with WHO, stressed the importance of a 42-day quarantine to monitor the passengers.
