U.S. President Donald Trump has agreed to a “double-sided” ceasefire with Iran that will see him hold off from further attacks for two weeks in exchange for Tehran agreeing to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump’s condition came as an 11th-hour reversal in a Truth Social late Tuesday, hours after the Republican leader threatened the destruction of Iran’s “civilization.”

Israel, whose military forces have consistently struck Iran, was not mentioned in Trump’s post, and it remains unclear what will happen if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed.
