WATCH: SAVE for student loans is ending. What’s next?

Millions of federal student loan borrowers are must choose a new repayment plan as a popular income-driven program winds down.

After years of legal limbo, a district court judge last month officially killed the rule behind Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE), a plan created under the Biden’s administration that was known for its generous terms and low monthly payments.

In other words, if you’ve been on the SAVE plan, you’ll soon have to pick a new repayment option or eventually have an option chosen for you. Here are three things to know about the end of SAVE and what’s next.
