White House says Iran war ceasefire negotiations ‘nearing the end,’ addresses gas prices and economy

President Donald Trump, in an interview on Fox Business’ "Mornings with Maria,” said he believes the war is “very close to being over” and Iran wants to “make a deal badly.” But he did not provide a timetable for the end of the war, saying instead the U.S. is “not finished” and “We’ll see what happens.”

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei, said on Wednesday there’s no timetable for another round of negotiations with the U.S. after peace talks held in Pakistan last weekend fell apart. A day earlier, Trump told the New York Post that negotiations could pick up as soon as this week.
