Carney “still hasn’t even made up his mind whether he supports a pipeline”: Poilievre

From Global News.

Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre is criticizing Prime Minister Mark Carney for remarks during an interview with The Canadian Press on Friday in which he said a new pipeline is "more probable than possible."

"He’s been a prime minister for a year, and he still hasn’t even made up his mind whether he supports a pipeline… He’s wasted an entire year," Poilievre said Sunday.

During the interview, Carney also said that Canada would not use energy or critical minerals as “leverage” in upcoming trade talks with the U.S.

Poilievre responded, saying, "If energy and minerals are not going to be leveraged for Canada in these negotiations, what leverage does Mr. Carney claim to have?"

Poilievre further criticized the prime minister, saying "It’s all been an illusion with Mark Carney. Of course, our energy and minerals should be a positive leverage in these negotiations."
