Ukrainians are concerned that the conflict in the Middle East is helping Russia’s war machine, not only because it’s drawing attention from Ukraine, but also because Russia, like Canada, is benefiting from a surge in oil revenues.

The energy crisis has also prompted the U.S. to temporarily ease some sanctions on Russian oil shipments.
