The candidate for mayor of Nice, Eric Ciotti (UDR), former president of Les Républicains and now allied with the far right RN (Rassemblement National, Eds.), casts his vote in the second round of the local elections. In Nice, the Green candidate Juliette Chesnel-Le Roux (who took 11.9% of the vote in the first round) has refused to withdraw in favour of the incumbent Horizons mayor Christian Estrosi (30.9%), well behind the 43.4% won by Éric Ciotti, an ally of the RN.
