Three years into the war in Sudan, the humanitarian crisis is worsening with millions facing severe hunger and displacement.

In an interview with Global News, CARE regional director Walter Mwasaa said about 30 million people do not have access to food.

He said ongoing fighting, checkpoints and attacks on infrastructure are preventing aid from reaching those in need. Mwasaa is calling for more international action and funding to help prevent further starvation.
