Prime Minister Mark Carney said he was "fully prepared — individually and collectively" to defend the Arctic against any threats.

His answer came in response to a journalist’s question about whether the conflict between the U.S. and Greenland had been settled.

Carney also said he fully associated himself with Norway’s prime minister in the view that Greenland is part of Denmark and it is up to them to "trace the future of Greenland."

He was in Bardufoss, Norway, on Friday to watch NATO military exercises with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Afterwards, Carney held a joint press conference with the leaders.
