King Charles III and Queen Camilla will receive a ceremonial welcome at the White House from President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump on the second day of their state visit.

Trump reiterated his respect for the royal family, invoking memories of his mother as he joked about a “cute” King Charles III.

“I also remember her saying very clearly, ‘Charles — look, young Charles, he’s so cute.’ My mother had a crush on Charles. Can you believe it?” he said.
