Despite a vote to end the government shutdown, the ripple effects are being felt at airports across the United States with the FAA announcing it will hold flight cancellations at 6% as it continues to assess whether the system can gradually return to normal operations. The goal is to relieve the stress of staffing shortages, but it’s unclear when airlines will be able to resume their full slate of takeoffs. NBC’s Sam Brock reports for TODAY.
