Last year’s strike by Canada Post workers threw a holiday curveball to households and businesses across the country.

And although both sides have returned to the bargaining table, many are nervous about a repeat this year.

Canada Post workers went a strike last year in the weeks leading up to the holiday season. They returned to work Dec. 17, but did so without new contracts. Negotiations have continued through 2025, but have been unsuccessful, raising concerns.
