Spectators watch in horror as Indian fighter jet crashes at Dubai Air Show

From Global News.

A pilot was killed at the Dubai air show on Friday after an Indian Tejas fighter jet crashed in a ball of fire, horrifying spectators on the last day of the event.
It is the second known crash involving the Tejas, which is built by state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.

The homegrown jet, whose name means “brilliance” in Sanskrit, is central to India’s push to modernize its aging air-force fleet of mostly Russian and ex-Soviet fighters.

The Indian Air Force says it will convene a court of inquiry to investigate the cause of the crash.
