BC officials give update after multiple injured in grizzly attack | LIVE

From Global News.

The British Columbia government will provide an update on the horrific grizzly bear attack in the province on Thursday that injured several people, including children, during a field trip in Bella Coola.

A bear attack sent at least four people to the hospital, including three young children, in the small town of Bella Coola in north central B.C. while the school group was having lunch on a trail, according to RCMP officials.

Multiple teachers physically intervened, using bear spray and a bear banger, to drive the bear away, but several people, including students, were hurt.

The B.C. Conservation Officer Service says it was on scene with RCMP and asked residents to stay out of the forested and river area near the 4 Mile subdivision of the community until further notice.
