Israel intends to seize parts of Lebanon as strikes against Hezbollah intensify, government says

Amid the war in Iran, Israel’s government says it now intends to seize parts of southern Lebanon.

Israel’s military has been bombarding the country, hitting targets it says are associated with Hezbollah – Iran’s proxy in that country.

Since the onslaught, Lebanon’s Health Ministry says over 1,000 people have been killed – and as much as one fifth of the population is displaced.
