The RCMP executed search warrants at the home of former Calgary mayor Jyoti Gondek, seizing a cell phone as part of an ongoing investigation.

Gondek says she has been fully cooperative, but called the process "very invasive" and is having her lawyer review the warrant.

Ward 10 councillor Andre Chabot also had his devices seized, saying he was ‘completely surprised’ and does not believe he is under investigation.

Police say the probe stems from a complaint referred by Calgary Police Service in October 2025, but no details or charges have been disclosed. Adam MacVicar reports.
