“A part of me died that night”: Paris marks 10-year anniversary of Bataclan massacre

From Global News.

aris is marking the 10th anniversary of the terror attacks that killed 132 people and injured hundreds more.

The assault on the Bataclan nightclub on Nov. 13, 2015, was one in a series of attacks across the French capital, which started with a suicide bombing outside the Stade de France sports stadium.

“I felt like I was outside myself, like I was there without really being there. In fact, a part of me died that night, and stayed in the Bataclan concert hall,” said Sebastien Lascoux, remembering the horrifying attack.

The attacks were the deadliest on French soil since World War II, scarring the national psyche and prompted emergency security measures – many of which became embedded in law.
