Customer’s GoFundMe means elderly DoorDash driver can slow down

From Associated Press.

Seventy-eight-year-old Richard Pulley took a job with DoorDash to help make ends meet. Thanks to a generous customer, the Tennessee man can afford to slow down a bit.

Pulley took the job after his wife, Brenda, lost her job. When customer Brittany Smith saw doorbell-camera footage of the white-haired, slightly stooped man dropping a bag on her porch, she knew she had to do something.

She launched a GoFundMe campaign. In just under two weeks, she raised nearly $1 million for the Coffee County couple.
