Amid a heated debate over Quebec’s newly introduced Bill 2 ,which enforces a new pay structure for doctors , more than a hundred physicians have applied for licenses to practice medicine in neighbouring provinces.

Ontario’s College of Physicians and Surgeons says it has received 70 applications from Quebec doctors in the past week.

In New Brunswick, they usually get three or four license applications per month – they’ve received nearly 40 this month.

Meanwhile, Ontario Premier Doug Ford says he’s ready to roll out the red carpet for any doctors looking to move west.
