A city in New Brunswick has caused quite a stir after announcing it would postpone trick-or-treating because of a forecast calling for wet and windy weather.

It appears city officials got spooked after Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for parts of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, calling for strong winds and heavy rain linked to Hurricane Melissa.

Some people online questioned whether it might be a “trick” played on trick-or-treaters, but the city quickly set the record straight.
