Indigenous Nations chief disputes audit asking for repayment of $28M in COVID spending

The chief of the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) is pushing back against an order from the federal government to repay millions of dollars in pandemic spending.

Indigenous Services Canada sent a letter asking FSIN to repay $28.7 million, following a forensic audit.

FSIN Chief Bobby Cameron disputes the findings of the audit and claims he’s ready to go to court.
