A lawyer representing the young woman suing Meta and YouTube says a Los Angeles jury sent a "huge message" when it found the companies liable for harming a young woman through the addictive design of their social media platforms and ordered them to pay $3 million in damages. Speaking to reporters outside court after the landmark decision, lawyer Mark Lanier says "these companies can be held accountable" over social media addiction. SOUNDBITE
