Misdiagnosed for years, NS terminal cancer patient says more access could save lives

From Global News.

A Nova Scotia woman with a rare form of cancer is hoping her terminal diagnosis can make a change.

Mandy Wood, a 45-year-old diagnosed with vulvar cancer said the hardest aspect of her vulvar cancer diagnosis has been coming to terms with leaving behind her eight-year-old twins, Adam and Olivia, who are the centre of her world.

She said it’s "so hard to get in" and if wait times for the gynecological care she needed weren’t so long, her situation may be different.

Ella MacDonald reports.
