A feature documentary charting the lives of Sudanese civilians before and after the outbreak of war in Khartoum drew packed audiences at the Doha Film Festival, with its makers hoping the film will spur greater global attention to the situation in Sudan.

"Most of the screenings were sold out," Sudanese filmmaker Ibrahim Snoopy Ahmad said, adding that a larger audience meant "more conversation" and "more visibility" that could translate into donations, advocacy and help for people on the ground.
