President Trump explained why he voted by mail in the special election in Florida this past Tuesday. The election was for the statehouse district that included his Mar-a-Lago estate.

Trump has spoken critically about voting by mail for years.

During his Cabinet meeting on Thursday, Trump said, "if you’re away, we have an exception" to use a mail-in ballot.
