Hegseth says despite Trump peace deal efforts, DOW will ‘continue negotiating with bombs’ in Iran

From USA TODAY.

Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth said he is praying for Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff to reach a deal with Iran, but if not, he said the bombing would continue, with slow-flying planes like the A-10 Warthog demonstrating that Iran has lost its air defenses.

“The Department of War will continue negotiating with bombs,” Hegseth said. “War is negotiation by other means.”

Trump added that if Iran doesn’t abandon its ambitions to obtain a nuclear weapon through peace negotiations, the United States will “just keep blowing them away.”

“We’ll see if they want to do it. If they don’t, we’re their worst nightmare,” Trump said. “In the meantime, we’ll just keep blowing them away, unimpeded, unstopped. There’s not a thing they can do about it.”
