From Global News.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was back in question period in the House of Commons on Wednesday after he and his delegation met with U.S. President Donald Trump and his trade representatives on Tuesday in the White House.
Carney was met with an onslaught of questions from Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre over auto makers moving their production south of the border, costing Canadian jobs.
“Just confirmed, (Carney) is selling out our auto workers,” Poilievre said, adding “while the prime minister promises yet another trillion dollar gift to president Trump why doesn’t he look those workers in the eye and explain why he betrayed them.”
Poilievre also took a swipe at Carney after he appeared to boast about Trump calling him a tough negotiator: “Give me a trillion dollars and even I will say something nice.”
