Hundreds of people gathered in Chicago to protest against Donald Trump’s deployment of armed troops to the city. The US president sent the National Guard to the Democrat-led city to aid ICE agents as they carry out immigration raids as part of Trump’s mass deportation campaign.
Masked ICE agents have surged into several Democratic-led cities to conduct raids in recent months, stoking outrage among many residents and protests outside federal facilities.
