From Global News.
Displaced Palestinians returned to Gaza City on Saturday to find their neighbourhoods in ruins, a day after a ceasefire took effect.
“The scale of destruction, as you can see, life in Gaza (City) has become impossible…. There is no water," said Palestinian Israa Al-Ghandour.
Ahmed Al-Jabari said, “I’m happy that there is no blood, no killing," and added that he did not know where he would live now. “Will we live 20 years in a tent? … How many years are we going to live in a tent?”
The conflict erupted in October 2023 after Hamas-led militants stormed into Israel and killed around 1,200 people and took 251 hostages.
