The Israeli military has launched a series of strikes in southern Lebanon, targeting what it says is Hezbollah infrastructure.

Israel accuses the Iranian-backed group of trying to re-arm following the U.S.-backed ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah last year.

Thirteen people were killed in an Israeli strike on the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in Sidon Tuesday evening, and several others were wounded, the Lebanese health authority said.

Israel claims that the camp was a Hamas training compound.
