“Every week there are strikes”: Israeli strike leaves parts of Gaza’s Khan Younis camp in ruins

From Global News.

Palestinians inspected on Thursday the scene where an Israeli airstrike hit a tent camp in Gaza, leaving parts of the site in ruins.

A fire broke out after the strike that took place late on Wednesday, leaving several people dead, according to medics.

“People, children and women were left in pieces. Everyone took part in putting out the fire and the gas canisters and tents that were on fire…There is no ceasefire, every week there are strikes, assassinations, bombardment and targeting of buildings," said displaced Palestinian, Jihad Samir al-Arja.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) said health services are running in Gaza despite severe destruction at Al-Shifa Medical Complex. UNFPA representative in Palestine, Nestor Owomuhangi, said the UNFPA is continuing to bring in medical equipment, medicines and supplies, and has deployed 175 midwives across Gaza to maintain childbirth services.
