Camp Mystic officials say they are installing a new flood warning system ahead of the reopening of its Cyprus Lake location. The camp is putting up eight-foot aluminum towers, designed to detect rising water along the banks of the campsite. That site is a separate property uphill from Mystic’s Guadalupe site where 27 campers and counselors lost their lives in July’s flooding.
