At a press conference in Niagara Falls on Monday, Ontario premier Doug Ford was asked if he had made progress on selling off American liquor products that were pulled off LCBO shelves and donating it to charity.

“It’s not as easy as it sounds,” Ford elaborated, staying consistent with his buy Canadian message he encouraged throughout 2025.

When asked whether he’d travel to Florida for the holiday season, Ford said he’d be skipping out this year "for the first time," but encouraged other Canadians to make their own travel decisions.

"Don’t let this guy, Trump, determine and ruin your life and everything. That’s my personal choice. So maybe some families have gone to Florida their whole lives. Go to Florida… But I encourage you to stay here and support local, local tourism."
