On Christmas Day, U.S. Forces carried out airstrikes targeting Islamic State fighters in northwest Nigeria. Trump told Politico he held the strikes specifically for the Christmas holiday, saying: "They were going to do it earlier. And I said, ‘nope, let’s give a Christmas present.’” Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky is expected to meet with President Donald Trump tomorrow at Mar-a-Lago to discuss Zelensky’s draft of a 20-point peace plan to end conflict in the region.
