A months-long investigation has revealed serious corruption among Toronto police officers with ties to the tow-truck industry, investigators say. Gary Vandenheuvel, president of the Professional Towing Association of Ontario, says the accused officers are not a representation of the industry at large. Twenty-seven individuals, including seven police officers, a retired officer and 19 civilians, are facing charges.
