London’s Metropolitan Police said it is searching two properties linked to Peter Mandelson as it continues its investigation into misconduct in public office offences.

It comes after Lord Mandelson was accused of passing sensitive government information to US financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein while a minister in Gordon Brown’s government.

The force said no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
