Deputy chief of Russia’s military intelligence service shot, wounded in Moscow

From Global News.

Russia’s longtime deputy chief of military intelligence, Lt.-Gen. Vladimir Alexeyev was shot and wounded by an unidentified assailant in Moscow Friday morning, officials say.

Despite coming one day after negotiations concluded between the two nations, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has pointed his finger towards Ukraine.

“This terrorist act once again confirmed the [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelenskyy regime’s focus on constant provocations, aimed, in turn, at disrupting the negotiation process,” Lavrov said Friday.

It is currently unclear who is responsible for the attack.
