The Washington Post faces more turmoil as the embattled CEO and publisher Will Lewis steps down after a wave of layoffs at the newspaper. The Post’s billionaire owner, Jeff Bezos, declared in 2016, “Democracy dies in darkness,” but critics say he is now turning out the light. Former Executive Editor Marty Baron said, "Things have been made dramatically worse by the behavior of the owner.”
