"We want reconciliation, but reconciliation with the truth up front," Venezuelan opposition figure Juan Pablo Guanipa tells the press at an event with relatives of political prisoners outside El Helicoide detention center in Caracas. Guanipa, a former vice president of the National Assembly, was arrested in connection with an alleged conspiracy to undermine elections. He was released from prison on February 8, 2026.
