European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has expressed support for an EU-wide age limit similar to the new Australian law restricting social media usage for those under 16.
France could be the first European country to introduce such a ban. As early as September 1, lawmakers are discussing new legislation that would limit access to social media platforms for those under 15, and President Macron supports the move.
