“Fly high my angel”: 12-year-old girl dies by suicide amid bullying allegations

“Fly high my angel” are the words a nine-year-old girl said at a memorial service for her older sister Lexi Blackwood in January.

The 12-year-old girl took her own life after being bullied at her school in Okanagan, B.C., her father Ryan Marshall said.

According to Marshall, his daughter was once confident and outgoing, but that began to change when she entered middle school.

As Victoria Femia reports, the grieving family is speaking out in hopes of preventing another tragedy.
