Ukrainian athlete Vladyslav Heraskevych says he will wear a custom helmet despite the ban imposed by the International Olympic Committee. The helmet features several portraits of Ukrainian athletes killed since Russia’s 2022 invasion. The IOC says this is a violation of the Olympic guidelines, and will make an exception and let Heraskevych wear a black armband instead.
