A federal judge blocked the Pentagon from taking action against Senator Mark Kelly for participating in a video made by democratic lawmakers calling for troops to disregard illegal orders. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth censured Kelly, a retired Navy captain, for participating in the video and asked the Secretary of the Navy, John Phelan, to conduct an investigation on redetermining Kelly’s retirement grade. PBS News’ Cecilia Lallmann spoke with Rachel VanLandingham, professor of law and former judge advocate general for the U.S. Air Force to breakdown today’s ruling.
