Some Ontario Hockey League fans received an unexpected email in their inboxes this week, urging them to practice better hygiene before attending games.

The email was sent by the Oshawa Generals director of ticket sales and service, and it read: “If you went to the gym or did something that produced body odor, please shower before attending the game.”

It also encouraged fans who were feeling unwell to stay home and reminded those attending to use hand-sanitizer and cover coughs and sneezes.

As Moosa Imran reports, the team is now apologizing for the email.
