From Global News.

Over a thousand people gathered outside the Tumbler Ridge Town Hall Friday night to honour the lives lost in this week’s tragic mass shooting. Prime Minister Mark Carney was joined by the Governor General, federal opposition leaders, and B.C. provincial leaders in a rare show of national solidarity. Heather Yourex-West has the details.

Carney remained in Canada to support the Tumbler Ridge community, sending a delegation to Germany in his place. Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand is currently leading the Canadian team at the Munich Security Conference. Jillian Piper has the story.

It has been two weeks since Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today Show host Savannah Guthrie, was taken from her home in Arizona. A 42-year-old has been charged with sending a fake ransom note during the investigation. Candice Cole has the latest.

A care home in Manitoba felt the love this Valentine’s Day thanks to an overwhelming public response. The home, located north of Winnipeg, had originally requested valentines for its 19 senior residents. Since the request went out, Global News viewers sent a continuous stream of cards and well-wishes to the elders. Melissa Ridgen has the story.
