The United Nations says it is deeply alarmed by the worsening crisis in Cuba, as the Caribbean island struggles under a de facto US blockade on oil shipments. Cuba is running out of fuel amid mounting U.S. pressure, having last received a delivery from Mexico. The shortage has forced several airlines to cancel all flights to the island, dealing a major blow to tourism — the country’s main source of foreign currency.
