In this powerful episode of Face to Face, two people whose lives have been shaped by knife crime in very different ways hear each other’s stories, before deciding whether to meet face to face.

On 29 June 2022, Pooja’s son Ronan Kanda was murdered in a case of mistaken identity. Ronan was just 16 years old when he was fatally stabbed with a 22-inch ninja sword.

Daniel began carrying a knife after he and a close friend were stabbed during a fight. As a teenager, he believed carrying a weapon was the only way to protect himself.

This powerful video explores the impact of grief, confronts the devastating human cost of knife crime and explores the relationship between a victim’s mother and a young man at a crossroads.
