21-year-old Victoria Fortuna was left with life-altering injuries while her dad, Paul, was killed, after the duo was hit by a vehicle on Anthony Henday Drive while trying to change a flat tire on Victoria’s vehicle.

“They were getting the equipment out to change the flat tire and another driver plowed into the back of the second vehicle and pinned the two of them between the two SUVs,” Fortuna’s aunt Laurel Cousens said.

One week after the crash, Victoria is still in the ICU, and both her legs had to be amputated.
