Rev. Jesse Jackson remembers the assassination of MLK Jr.

From Associated Press.

As a young organizer in Chicago, Rev. Jesse Jackson was called to meet with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee, and he publicly positioned himself thereafter as King’s successor.

Jackson was with King on April 4, 1968, when the civil rights leader was slain.
