Prime Minister Mark Carney announced a plan to bolster Canada’s military defence industry. It will look to award 70 per cent of federal defence contracts to Canadian firms within a decade. The strategy pours more money into defence-related research and development and proposes to increase Canada’s defence exports by 50 per cent.
